Lone Jogger in a Reservoir

I planned my saturdays to be a jogging day...shaking off some calories and enjoying nature at the same time.

Instead of waking up early this Saturday morning, t'was past ten when I started my day as my new jogging buddy was sick and she sent me sms me in the morning that she couldn't make it. Fine. I still have two options in the afternoon, either to grab my spike shoes and bum around Farrer park or I could jog in the late afternoon at a reservoir with fine ladies :-)

I decided to jog with fine ladies since I didn't confirm my attendance to the PFC (also John was not around, as a lazy member as I am I needed John's presence in some way or another). I made it early to McRitchie, I waited for an hour and to my dismay I was waiting at the wrong reservoir (Oh man!), this is the supposed venue for next week and sometimes stupidity can just cling around that it comes so natural next to me. On the lighter note, I really wanted to go to McRitchie. Jie Jie and BK have plans before but bad weather prevented us from going there, so it wasn't really a bad idea to be a lone jogger after all.

And it really turned out to be wonderful, I jogged uphill at my own pace, I couldn't bear to jog with two local ladies who casually chatting as if they were just doing their weekend window shopping, they were so cool and I was too hot and sticky sweating all over. McRitchie is so close to nature, monkeys are running wild and proactively staring at people who passes by..COOL! Snakes are also around which fortunately was away from my sight, hehehe.

But it was a fine afternoon, it was one of the moment when you can literally appreciate sunset alone, listening to Carrie Underwood songs and staring at some lovers around, I called back home and shared with my kids what this breezy afternoon has brought me. Sure I will take them there whenever they are around SG. Living in a city which is so close to nature is simply excellent.
