In my beloved homeland, some legislators are making scene-stealing but on the bad light.
The first honorable man exposed his knowledge of the past presidents wrong doing eight years back. Well for some its just a confirmation as these were already in the grapevine for years. The thought of keeping these secrets for eight long years was already tainted with motives - but he is such a clever honorable guy to put up viable reasons to justify his act of omission.
Well the other honorable man was expected to react - but damn with his words and arguments i prefer him to shut his mouth. As if he was making those indie films as he was recently doing. he has these crappy arguments attacking the other's personality but allowing the main issues untouched. as if he was making some rhetorics act. of course as expected he didnt bother to be interpellated - spontaneous responses are out of his context as he is only good to deliver memorized lines like his father.
On the noble side, just wondering how slow can my beloved country progress with this kind of legislators around. I can still bear the first guy who can blast and expose but with his personal intentions are all over but not the second one - gimme a break.

parenting roadblocks
Being a parent is indeed tough.
Maybe its payback time for me.... but at the back of my mind I am still convinced I was a cooperative and good daughter way back then :-p
My eldest daughter skipped her snacks for 3 consecutive days as 3 whole sandwiches were produced from her bag after a routinary clean up. I felt so bad as she is quite frail with some cough lingering for some days, skipping snack was a bad idea for her to recover. Plus the thought that a quick breakfast wouldnt last for a 5.5 hours before her next meal made me so disgusted. Fuming mad, i really had to point out her mistakes with physical pain. Such a heartbreak to see you child crying but you have to stand firm to make her see the point - crystal clear. I knew in my heart she was able to pick up the lessons.

Forensic Madness
I am in a forensic madness nowadays. I found this site few days back and since then I got addicted.
Well, forensic is an application of scientific knowledge used in legal proceedings (latin word forensis means before forum or public debate). General connotation, forensic doctors are those who performed post-mortem examination on the body of the crime but its more than that. It has a broad spectrum of science from pathology to toxicology but this legal testimony stands out as evidence speaks for itself.
Looking few years back, I got a good grade in forensic medicine , thanks to my RN seatmates who were quite generous with their knowledge but skeptic with what I knew, it ended up having me as the lone student who got all right answers in the finals. Its really interesting though.
Well bottom line is you cannot hide a crime, as the saying goes it doesn't pay.

Work from Home
I am working from home, blame it on a common cold
Its a state where you can work as your brains are running but your nose as well, damn... you keep on sneezing and everytime you can feel your colleagues moving an inch away from you....coupled with watery eyes and nasal drainage, it would be the best idea to work from home :-)
At least i will contain the virus in my homeplace and chance to drink more liquid...

Earth Hour 2009
Last night, we made 60 minutes of collaborated effort to take care Mother Earth. This campaign started in Sydney 2 yrs ago and its gaining its popularity, its a symbolic stance against global warming.
Its the second year in Singapore, switching off the lights for an hour was more successful
in the city area as more establishments pledge to support the cause. I would say not in my
place as its more residential, a lot more residents still pampered themselves by fuming more
carbon monoxide in the air. Either they are not aware or they completely ignore this small
sacrifice.
For us, I am confident we did our share, we turned off even our phones and walked down of
our unit, without using the lift....we can be considered high floor but my daughter didn't
seem to care. We enjoyed an hour on the hilltop just opposite our place and some mini-
stargazing with a crispy Chippy. And its FUN!

Guessing Game!
Let me switch my mode to local politics.
Right now we have a guessing game in the scene, is he the mastermind or not? Few years back, I have voted for this person as he was my parents' bet (when it comes to practicing my suffrage rights, I am fully dependent of my parents opinion, fyi) unfortunately or fortunately he didn't make it.
Now, one of his trusted men is going to be extradited soon and will touch down on our native land. Inside his handcarried baggage is his sworn statement of his participation in a celebrated case. His former man is vying to be a state witness but the more intriguing is inside the man's inked paper of who are being implicated. This will make our politica more bizarre than ever, but what's new?
Anyway, everything still in a guessing game until the pandora's box opens.

Pay Cut

Just reading the news from worldwide leadership, there is a pay cut next month.
The cut was not a flat rate, its increasing from the rank and file to the most accountable . Anyway, cut as it is, it hurts.
Recession is really taking its toll now, from the sub-prime gaga in the west to the currency tsunami in the east.
At the end of the rope, I still feel fortunate for this 2 words with 3 letters each...rather than no job at all.
Disclaimer: As advise from a friend, never tackle anything about one's job. haiz....
